St.Molaga’s N.S. is a senior national school under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin. St. Molaga’s received its first pupils on September 1st 1987. Highlights of the schools history include the establishment of the school choir in 1992, our highly successful participation in the Credit Union National Primary Schools Quiz,the painting of the mural in the entrance hall, the introduction of Rainbows and the establishment of two Specific Learning Difficulty Units in 1998.
The school has an enrolment of 448 pupils at present, a teaching staff of 24 and 5 ancillary staff. The teaching staff is comprised of 16 Class Teachers, 5 Learning Support / Resource Teachers, 2 S.L.D. Unit Teachers and the Principal.
Aims and Objectives of Our School
*To ensure a sound moral and religious development in the children.
*To enable each child to live a full life as a child, to develop to their full potential through the provision of a constructive learning environment and the delivery of a broad curriculum and to enable them to obtain skills and interests to enhance their leisure time outside school.
*To equip each child to avail himself or herself of further education so that he or she may go on to lead a full life as an adult in society.
* School opening hours are 9:10am to 2:50pm.
Our uniform consists of a school tracksuit with the St. Molaga Crest and blue polo shirt. The tracksuit is available from Mr. Noel Heeney in Mc Fadden’s shop in Drogheda Street.
