This is Sophie’s story

Once upon a time there were four kids who went on a trip to the jungle. There was a hunter there too, he was mean and wanted to kill the animals!
The children were on a mission to stop him. One night whilst the hunter was sleeping in the forest they tied him to a tree with a long rope.
When he woke he was shocked and surrounded by the animals he had been trying to kill.
He begged for forgiveness so the animals nibbled the ropes & set him free. The hunter was afraid, so what lies ahead of him. The children had won.

Special Showcase for Julia

Well done to Julia. She won a special showcase for her lovely story about her friend Mia.  Julia’s story is a lovely way to remember Mia. We miss her every day.

Best Friends Forever

There was a girl called Mia . She had a rare condition that meant that she could not run or jump. Mia had good friends that are called Julia , Julia and Mia B. They all were best friends forever and respected each other.
Mia said “I’m sick of the rare condition, so that’s why I’m always last in races “.
Then Julia said “you’re always number one for us and you’re best at maths, science and Irish even though you worry about it “.
And that was nice, to not let her down and one day she won first place in maths, Irish and science.
From that day Mia loved her friends .

We are delighted this week to have TWO winners this week for the Special Showcase! You can read all our wonderful stories here. https://msbrennocksclass.100wc.net/

By Lorcan

At dawn and dusk, twilight slips through the gap. On one special dawn a little Angel girl looked up at the mauve sky. She got very tearful because her brother had died at dawn. She decided she would grow three carrots for her  brother Steel. She grew them because that was his favourite food. She sang a little song every dawn it went like this, “under the mauve sky I can see my brother flying on a carrot ship.” Her two dogs would sit beside her, Milly and Steel Jr. Sometimes even the robins would join in, this would make her smile.

Oscar was a small grey cat, he lived on a big farm
with loads of other animals. Thomas the farmer always took care of him and knew that Oscar’s favourite food was carrots. One day Thomas brought Oscar in for some food and accidentally spilt mauve dye on his fur. Oscar was very tearful but Thomas didn’t mind, he liked that colour. As an apology Thomas allowed Oscar use their new steel cutlery to eat his dinner. After dinner he went out to the other animals, they all loved his new look so Oscar didn’t feel so under the weather.

The Great Carrot Pick Off by Zach

It was the day of the great Carrot Pick Off.  There was a farmer called jack. He had been collecting carrots. The day had finally come.  Jack went to the Carrot Pick Off with his carrots in his mauve van.  Jack finally got there. Under his van he spotted a carrot , if he took it he would have cheated because it was not his carrot.

The judges counted up all of the carrots, the winner was Jack.  The judge gave Jack the giant steel carrot trophy.  One of the other farmers was very tearful because he had lost some of his carrots.

Special Showcase – for Julia

Congratulations Julia on your award of a Special Showcase!   The prompt was to include the words…but where were they going? in the story.

RATTLE! CLANG! I stirred in my bed. I had been having a nice dream but it was over now, because something outside had woken me up. What was it? I wasn’t going to just lie in bed and wonder about it. All mysteries need solving and I wasn’t the kind to go back to sleep. I pushed over the covers and gently slid the curtains open. I could just make out, through the darkness of the street, three strange people. They were throwing rocks at a car, then suddenly they turned around and started feeling on the ground, as if they were looking for a hole they could climb into…but where were they going? I felt a feeling rushing through my veins, I could feel something bad.

Topsy – by Abby

This is Abby’s story for this week’s 100 word challenge. You can leave a comment on her story here.

TOPSY

The snowmen she had built were calling her, “come with us Topsy.” So she ran to her garden. The snowmen were sneaking through the bushes but where were they be going she thought. She followed them through the bushes. She saw an amazing ice palace, there were ice slides ice swings and lots of ice toys to play with. She had lots of fun with her new snow friends.

THE FOUR FRIENDS

It was a very cold day and it was snowing but my school was still open. I was sitting at my desk doing maths. I couldn’t really hear my teacher talking anymore. I was busy on an amazing adventure. It was with four
Green creatures they had ten eyes and really long fingers. I told them “My name is Niamh” Who are you? They said ‘we’re Ding, Dong, Ping & Pong’ and waved their long green fingers at me and I waved back. Then they clicked their fingers and disappeared into puffs of glitter. Wow this was amazing to me BUT where were they going?…..

Mum’s Remarkable Yellow Cake

Congratulations to Hayden, he has been awarded a Special Showcase for his 100 word challenge. The prompt was to include the words, yellow, remarkable, gingerly, however and discovered.

Mum’s Remarkable Yellow Cake

Mum decided she was going to make a cake for my birthday. She wanted to make a cake so big and so fantastic that it would be so delicious everyone would just want to keep on eating it. She decided to put more mixture in it than she normally would, usually she would gingerly add the ingredients and go by the book,  however she put so much mixture in it that when it began cooking in the oven , we discovered that it rose so much that the remarkable yellow sponge started seeping out of the oven. and on to the floor. Needless to say it was a truly remarkable cake.

Special Showcase!

Mia G has been awarded a Special Showcase for her 100 Word Challenge. The prompt was a picture of a giant spider. Well done Mia. This is her story.

Once in a big calm city, there lived kind, friendly people. One day a man called Jeff came over with his bucket of black material and tubes. He was the only one who was bad in the city. Everyone ran into their houses. ”LOCK YOU DOORS, LOCK YOUR WINDOWS, HE’S HERE, HE IS GOING TO MAKE US LOOK LIKE BLACK CHICKENS !!! screamed one old man.

And Jeff built a BIG GIANT SPIDER in front of the happy childrens’ school .
When he was done everyone was scared as if it was going to come to life . ”AAAAAAHHHHH!” every one was screaming like mad. They were lucky and it did not come to life .

Stories by Niamh and Julia

These are just two or our stories for this week’s 100 w/c.  The prompt words are gingerly, remarkable, however, discovered and yellow.

Niamh’s Story

Hi my name is Gingerly. I have eight legs, I am black, I am a spider.  I live in a house but the people don’t know I am here.  There are six in the house. Their names are Mark, Tish, Conor, Niamh, Liam and Eva. I spend  my night making webs. Every night I eat the flies that get caught in my webs. I thought it was remarkable that I managed to live in this house for five years without anybody catching me. However one day when the yellow sun was shining they discovered my web and caught me……..

Julia’s Story

Ding-Dong!
Bob opened the door gingerly. Three kids, one dressed as a yellow monster, one dressed as blue vampire, and one dressed as a red Frankenstein were there. However, instead of shouting “trick or treat” they said “we have discovered a black furry blob on your garden tree.” Bob went outside to check it out and as the children had said, there was a furry, black blob sitting in his tree. It was a remarkably dark evening and he couldn’t see what it was. “What is it ?” asked one of the children. “It could be a monster”, said the other. Bob picked it up cautiously… and sitting in his hand was a cute little bat!
