Junior Boys receive Heroes Welcome

Our wonderful Junior Boys Gaelic team received a heroes welcome when they returned from playing in the Fingal League final in Abbotstown today. Sadly they did not bring the trophy with them but they played an exceptionally good game against tough opposition (Gaelscoil Brian Boroimhe) and they fought like warriors, never letting their heads go down and making Brain Boroimhe work very hard for every point they scored. The team worked very hard and played some exceptional football to get to the finals, and while the result on the day didn’t go their way, they were wonderful ambassadors for their school and should wear their medals with pride! Many congratulations to: Adam M, Callum J, Jamie M, Sean C, Shane C, Callum T, Ryan T, Adam D, Billy R, C.J M, Sean A, James B, Judge I, Max K, Sean L, Conor M, Daniel N, Callum D, Adam K, Daniel K IMG_5627 and Sean M.

Gymnastics in Ms. Mc Nicholas’s 5th Class

Our student teacher Ms. Cantwell has been doing gymnastics with our class for PE. We have covered paired balances, counter balances and sequences. We are really enjoying taking part in these gymnastics lessons.

Ceolchoirm Sheachtain na Gaeilge 2018

Comhghairdeas le gach rang a ghlac páirt i gceolchoirm Sheachtain na Gaeilge.

Bhí dánta, ceol, amhráin agus rince le fáil. Bhí na páistí go léir go hiontach ar fad! Go raibh mile maith agaibh do na múinteoirí agus páistí go léir  – chuir sibh an-obair go deo isteach sa cheolchoirm!

Go raibh maith agat do Michael freisin, a d’ullmhaigh an stáitse agus do Gill agus Colette a chroch suas na póstaeir a rinne na páistí chun an halla a mhaisiú.

Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine!

Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam!!

Maths Week Quizzes

We had two Math Quizzes in the hall on Thursday as part of Maths Week.  The teams were all mixed, with children from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th all being on teams together.  Ms Geraghty, Ms Donnellan, Ms Ferguson and Mr Brown’s classes took part in the first quiz. Ms Carmody, Ms Walsh, Ms McNicholas and Ms McMahon’s classes took part in the second quiz. Everyone had a great time!

The winners of the first quiz – a draw!

The winners of the second quiz.

Music with Miss Lora

This morning, we had a concert led by Miss Lora. There was a fifth class (us!), a fourth class (Ms McNicholas) and a third class (Mr Gorman/Ms McNamee). We all sang three songs each.

After we warmed up, we all sang “Hello to all the Children of the World.”

Third class sang “A Sailor Went to Sea”, “How Much is that Doggy in the Window?” and “Sing a Song”.

Fourth class sang “Catch a Falling Star”, “Do Your Ears Hang Low” and “Smile.”

Fifth class sang “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”, “What a Wonderful World”, and “Walking on Sunshine.”

At the end  we all sang “Happy.”

We had a great time working with Miss Lora and we think that all the parents and Ms Walsh’s third class enjoyed the concert!

THANK YOU MISS LORA!

Music In The Classroom

On Tuesday morning we were getting ready to go to music in the classroom. We were eating our lunch  at ten ’o clock,  we were leaving at half ten.  It took a while to get to the National Concert Hall .  When we got there it was so big loads of people could fit in it.  When we got in there were a lot of chairs I say around forty chairs .  The orchestra was so good and plus they were so loud.  Suddenly they told us a story about a fat tuba and his name was tubby,  tubby the tuba. Their songs were good,  there  were Snow White Medley,  Mission Impossible and High School Musical.  It was lots of fun they told us a story about two cats , Three Little Pigs.   When we got back it was nearly home time so my teacher made us do dear time.
