The population of Mexico is 112 million. The capital city of Mexico is Mexico City. The population is 8.8 million. The most popular sport in Mexico is soccer and Mexico held the 1970 and 1968 world cup. The Paricutin volcano in Mexico erupted on February 20th 1943. It continued erupting for eight years and grew to a height of 424 meters. The lava destroyed 10 villages. Mexico has a lot of food like Tacos, Nachos, Burritos, Fajitas, Tortilla, Enchiladas and Guacamole. Mexico was ruled by Spain for 300 years. Mexico got independence from Spain in 1846. Mexico went into war with USA in 1846 and lost large areas of land like California, New Mexico, Texas and Arizona. The Aztec stadium was built in 1960. It opened in 1966. The capacity is 104,000. It hosted the 1970 world cup final when Brazil beat Italy 4-1. A taco is a traditional Mexican dish composed of a com or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around with a filling. Mexico is located on the continent of North America. Most Geographers do not consider Mexico a part of Central America. Mexico is the 11th most populated country in the world with around 117 people. The main language spoken is Spanish. Mexico hosted the summer Olympics games in 1968. Mariachi is a type of musical group originally from Mexico. There is at least two violins two trumpets one Spanish guitar one Vihuela and one Guiarron. They are all in the Mariachi. Mexico introduced chocolate, corn and chilies in to the world.
