We had a brilliant Gaelic blitz in the all-weather behind St. Molaga’s on Wednesday of Active Week. Ten schools from the Balbriggan area took part and St Molaga’s entered four 4th class teams (approx 15 children from each class). We played 10 a side, with subs rolling on and off every 5 minutes. It was a great experience and gave us a good opportunity to put the Gaelic skills we have been learning with Larissa into practice. We also had a chance to try out some hurling! It was a brilliant day! We were active all day long except when we sat down to watch the skills show in the hall – but lots of us were performing in that as well!! The kids who didn’t want to do the blitz did class v class matches with children in the other 4th classes so we were all on the go! Hopefully we can have another blitz like this next year!
