Skype Call with New Zealand
We had a Skype call today with Ms Cass Parker’s class in Nelson, South Island, New Zealand.
This was our first Skype call to the Southern Hemisphere. Ms Parker’s class were holding a 24 hour Skypathon so they were Skyping through the night!
When we were talking to them it was 12.45am in New Zealnd and 1.45pm here.
Katie from our class did some free style dance for them and they did the Haka for us.
Biodiversity Projects and The Global Goals
We completed our projects for our Biodiversity Day on Friday. We are also submitting them to the Irish Aid Our World awards.
The awards are about The Global Goals.
All countries of the United Nations, including Ireland, are now working together to create a better world and a better future for us all by 2030, through the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
There are 17 goals in total.
We focused on goals number 14 and 15 Life Below Water and , Life on Land. These two goals tied in with the all the work that we had done on Biodiversity.

Well done to the St. Molaga’s Athletics team. We won our first trophy today in the Fingal Athletics League finals in Santry.
Art – Life-sized portraits
We started our life-sized portraits this week! We didn’t get them finished! There’s a lot of paper to fill! We’ll post more pictures of the finished portraits.
Maths Fun
We were learning about decimals and tenths. Each pack of ‘Starburst’ has ten sweets, so each sweet is the same as one tenth (1/10) or 0.1.
We played a game with a dice and we had to roll a total of ten tenths to win a whole packet of sweets. We really liked this game!

Two undercover secret agents from MI5 were in China. Their mission was to meet an ex MI5 agent who was going to tell them loads of secrets. They went undercover as priests so no one would know who they really were. They wanted to know information about ancient mysteries and this ex MI5 agent in a suit was an expert. He told them their biggest secret was that they had the ancient Medusa but she had mysteriously escaped the other night and could be anywhere by now. But Medusa was actually following the ex MI5 agent and while they were talking she used her evil powers and turned the three men to stone. She is still on the loose….

Our Easter Holidays
I was in the parade with my football team. I got a lot of Easter eggs from the Easter bunny .I had the best Easter ever . Aaron

My Easter was awesome! My mom bought me a whole WATER COLOR SET! Its compete with finliners, water colours and water colour paper. And on Easter Sunday morning my mom hid 10 yummy crème eggs. I had great fun! Rita
At Easter I got loads of Easter eggs and a big chocolate bunny. My Mammy bought me a big box of malteasers and every Saturday I went to my Grannys. I went to a pub and it was very nice. #so nice! AdamS

On st Patricks day i marched with O’Dwyers gaa club. When we arrived at the club house we played a little match. It was really fun. Then the next day i went out and played with my friends and then stayed up really late. Then on that Friday in went to my nanas for a sleepover with my cousins and it was really fun. On Easter Sunday i went down stairs and there was an easter egg hunt on then after that i had a bit of my Easter eggs they were nice. It was hard because for lent i gave up chocolate, sweets, crisps, biscuits, fizzy drinks and juice. Then for the rest of the holidays i went outside to play with my friends. Callum J

My Easter was great. I went to Amber Springs Hotel In Wexford it was really fun.I went swimming and went to the kids club it was brilliant.And I got millionssssss of easter eggs.I went to Donegal and went to a restauraunt called red pepper and had lots and lots and lots of fun.OH I forgot to tell you the best part of all parts so we watched the movie Paddington and goosebumps, malifecent, inside out, molly moon and the incredible book of hypnosis. My Easter holidays was a very fun I went to Dingal to see Fungy and we stayed in a five star hotel and we got breakfast in bed and dinner at night. And then after three days we came home and we waited for Easter Sunday to come and then the day finally came and when I woke up I found seven Easter eggs beside the fire place and then I went of for dinner in a place called the harvest came home and went to the cinema and then I went to bed I really enjoyed my Easter holidays. On my Easter Holliday I altar served on the Saturday night at 9pm till 10.30pm before Easter Sunday. On Easter morning I had to wait till 9am to get up and get Easter eggs. Grow It Yourself (GIY)
We received our growing packs yesterday from Innocent Smoothies. The packs contained seeds, cups, compost and growing instructions.
There were 3 seed packs, Cress, Spinach and Peas.
We had great fun today planting our seeds! We each got a pot and we planted Cress, Spinach and Peas. The Cress was the most popular, then the Peas and finally Spinach.
We also got a copy of our growth chart and we look forward to measuring the seedlings when they germinate.
