We had two Math Quizzes in the hall on Thursday as part of Maths Week. The teams were all mixed, with children from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th all being on teams together. Ms Geraghty, Ms Donnellan, Ms Ferguson and Mr Brown’s classes took part in the first quiz. Ms Carmody, Ms Walsh, Ms McNicholas and Ms McMahon’s classes took part in the second quiz. Everyone had a great time!
The winners of the first quiz – a draw!
The winners of the second quiz.

We had a great time taking part in Maths Week recently. We worked together to figure out Scoilnet’s daily brainteaser. Some of us completed activities on Manga High and earned a certificate and prize. We also had a Maths dress up day and took part in a Maths trail around the school.
There were 528 sweets in the jar! James from Ms McNamee’s class guessed the closest, 525, so he won the sweets for his class! Well done James.
We finished our Maths Trail today. We had great fun around the school, measuring, counting, drawing, estimating and recording lots of maths information. Click here.
