We had a great time taking part in Maths Week recently. We worked together to figure out Scoilnet’s daily brainteaser. Some of us completed activities on Manga High and earned a certificate and prize. We also had a Maths dress up day and took part in a Maths trail around the school.
There were 528 sweets in the jar! James from Ms McNamee’s class guessed the closest, 525, so he won the sweets for his class! Well done James.
We finished our Maths Trail today. We had great fun around the school, measuring, counting, drawing, estimating and recording lots of maths information. Click here.

We’ve been very busy on Mangahigh for maths week.

Each team in the maths quiz had a pupil from third (Mr. Brown), 4th (Ms. O’Callaghan), 5th (Ms. Grey) and 6th( Ms. Sedgwick)…… Great group work!
Well done to everyone who took part and thanks to Ms. Leonard and Ms. Costello for organising it, we all enjoyed it 🙂
A picture of the winning team, well done!
3rd and 4th classes are going to try and guess (estimate) how many sweets are in this jar. The winner will win the sweets (but not the jar!) for their class. Good Luck!
